Every year at Dead Reckoning, we plan a small number of limited releases — single-cask or very limited-batch expressions that represent the pinnacle of what’s in our warehouse. These releases sell out quickly, and for good reason: each one is a genuinely unique, unrepeatable expression that will never be made again.
What Makes a Limited Release?
Our standard portfolio expressions are blended to consistency — so that every bottle of our Barbados PX, for example, tastes the same regardless of when you buy it. Our limited releases are the opposite philosophy: single casks or very small batches that celebrate the natural variation of rum maturation.
When a single cask produces something extraordinary — an unexpected flavour combination, an unusual depth of character, a finish that goes on and on — we bottle it as a limited release rather than folding it into our standard blend. These are our most personal, most expressive bottles.
2026 Preview
- Single Cask Barbados 12 Year — Our oldest Barbados expression yet, matured in a single ex-bourbon hogshead and finished in a rare Australian tawny cask. Limited to 180 bottles.
- South Pacific Cask Strength — An uncut, unfiltered expression from our South Pacific stock. At natural cask strength, this is the most intense rum we’ve ever bottled. 240 bottles only.
- Australia Fortified Wine Series Vol. 2 — The follow-up to our sell-out first volume, this time featuring a different South Australian fortified wine style. Details to be announced.
- Dead Reckoning × Guest Distillery Collaboration — We can’t reveal the partner yet, but this is our most exciting collaboration to date. Watch this space.
